I just got on the plane going to China by way of Korea. Left Alaska about 12 hours ago. Had a very very long night flying to LA. I was on the same flight as Lisa Weight and Jane Lister. Once in LA we took a shuttle (about 6:30 AM) to the Hotel Radisson. Jane had reserved a room for the day. I immediately went to sleep and slept for about 3 hours. When I got up Debbie Arnold picked Diane Thayer, Jane Lister, Lisa Weight and I and took us around the area. We ate lunch at a little restaurant called Scotties. It was a very reasonably priced and tasty. Debbie works there as a waitress.
Then we rented bikes for $7.00 an hour. We rode bikes a bike trail…along busy streets and on the bike path around the beach. It was a beautiful day. …about 75 degrees, a slight breeze. What a nice day. We then walked down to the Redondo Beach and waded in the ocean. Debbie brought us back to the motel around 6PM. We took showers and went to eat. Right after that we took a shuttle back to the airport. It was a great day. Kevin and Debbie love where they live.
